Christmas Fireplace

Just in time, our fireplace with the little cute black stove is finished. The tea made with water from the stove tastes better than any other tea. At least that`s what we think.

Fireplace Christmas Decoration

This year, we are perfectly within the timing. It´s the last week of Nov and we have the first fireplace fully loaded with Christmas decoration.

Last weekend we have started to put up all interior Christmas decoration for 2011. This is our 'Disney Area' featuring mainly ornaments with famous Disney characters.

Christmas Lighting 'foundation' completed

Slowly but surely the 'foundation' of our XMas lighting is completed. From now on we can apply additional detail items. Especially the tiny top floor window will be a challenge.

Christmas Lighting next phase

We are making good progress on our Christmas lighting. Nov 5th and we are already in the first floor with some warm white LED icicles. But still the right lighting for the windows is missing.

Hello Kitty meets range cooker in the kitchen

Just in time for the Christmas baking season our kitchen is ready. We think the style can be best described as a combination of cute Hello Kitty and traditional British range cooking.

Christmas Lighting Early Stages

We have used the last warmer days to apply some early stages outside lighting. This year's 'foundation' is all about warm white LED outline of the porch and the entrance. Hopefully we find some good stuff for the windows as well.

First Christmas Elf sighting in our Home

The first Christmas folks are trying to get the best seats in the house for the upcoming decoration season. This Christmas Elf even makes it´s move before Halloween. Very Smart.

New Bathroom is finished

Finally, after over three months of waiting our bathroom is finished. The very last faucet got delivered and everything was ready for set up.

Our favorites are grandma's radiators. They are approximately 160kg in weight each. We´ll see how they do once heating season has begun.

Porch Fall Decoration

The golden season is approaching and we started to decorate our porch accordingly. Under a set of decoration apples we have smuggled two of our products: The Home Made Granola and the Forbidden Double Chocolate Fudge Cake baking mix.

Cute Cottage Overload beim Summer Pop Shopping in Köln 17.&18.9.2011

Achtung: Leider hat uns der Veranstalter des Summer Pop Shoppings gerade darueber informiert, dass das Event am Wochenende in Koeln aus Bautechnischen Gruenden nicht stattfinden kann. Es tut uns sehr leid, dass ihr unsere Produkte nicht im Dock One testen koennt.

Gemeinsam mit www.monkeyjolie.de haben wir beim Summer Pop Shopping (= Sommervariante der Holy Shit Shopping Weihnachtsmärkte) am 17. und 18.9 in Köln (Dock One, Hafenstr. 1, mehr Infos, Öffnungszeiten) einen Stand an dem wir Leute treffen und neue Produkte testen wollen. Ihr findet uns auf der Gallerie im ersten Stock.

Für alle die den Gutschein ausdrucken und mitbringen, gibt es auch noch einen kleinen Discount auf alle Produkte an unserem Gemeinschaftsstand.

New Tenant under Staircase

Since Harry Potter moved out from the tiny room below our staircase, we were looking for a new tenant. We have now found someone. However, we are not sure if this lady stays very long as she seems to have a thing for flowers. Sadly enough summer will move on soon.

Cute Chocolate Bar

Another new Cute Cottage Overload product that we will be testing at this years Summer Pop Shopping in Cologne. Currently we are working on approx. 10 different chocolate designs. This 'Please Love Me'-Bar is one of them. Will you love it ?

Forbidden Double Chocolate Fudge Cake Baking Mix

Only 5 months until Christmas. We need to be ready, so we are already doing some product design testing. This could turn out to be one of the first new products for this year's season: The Forbidden Double Chocolate Fudge Cake Baking Mix directly from Grandma's recipe Box.

Flamant Style Chandelier

Another thing that we found at Tongeren antique market in Belgium is this 18 candle chandelier. It´s 'inspired' by a similar piece that is sold at Flamant stores. The blue satin cover of the chain was added afterwards.

New Kitchen Table

Here´s a new kitchen table that we found at Tongeren Flea Market. It´s a weekly (Sunday) antique market in Belgium offering mainly 'Shabby Chic' items.

Cute Cottage Overload has moved !

After our move, and the production of our Moving Card (below) the main mission starts. Will we manage to attract 'homeless' or 'undecided' cats and convince them that this is the new place to be for them.

So far success was limited as only the daily served cat buffet is cleared without further contact. But we will not give up. Nothing beats the overview from the porch, we know cats. Sooner or later, they won´t be able to resist.

The new home for Cute Cottage Overload is a wood house which came all the way from Sweden. It's main structure is manufactured by a company called Karlson Hus and it was planned and build together with our local architects from Böhm Architektur.

This dinner table lamp by KARE Design is one of the first items we have installed at our new place. We have spotted it at Ambiente Fair Frankfurt. Currently KARE does not feature it in their online store.

Cute Cottage Overload is moving

Not a lot of activity around Cute Cottage Overload recently. But this will change now as we are right in the middle of our moving preparations. There will be lot´s of cute things happening around the decoration of our new house. But first some sentimental 'Before and After' pictures from our current place. It took an entire weekend to pack most of the stuff.
